The California Arts Council (CAC) is seeking proposals from qualified consultants or consultant teams to complete a Cultural Districts Program Evaluation. Now that the California Cultural Districts program has completed its pilot year, the CAC wishes to measure strengths, deficiencies, and the value of this program to establish a clear direction moving forward.
The CAC will consider technical expertise in the arts and nonprofit fields, especially in California or in similarly diverse and large states or regions; range of experience in large-scale program evaluation; understanding of state-designated Cultural District programs; experience working in the areas of racial and economic equity, cultural humility/competency and diversity; innovation and use of multiple means for research, public input, and planning; cost; and demonstrated ability to work closely with a varied group of stakeholders, as well as members of the general public.
Consultants with experience in research and program evaluation in aligning fields such as community development, housing, urban planning, and other social services are also invited to apply.
The total costs of all tasks of this RFP cannot exceed $75,000.
HOW TO APPLY
Work must start before December 1, 2018 and conclude nine months after the start date of the contract; depending upon approval of this contract by the California Department of General Services, if required.
