For the past 20 seasons, GableStage has been at the cutting edge of theatre in South Florida, striving to present the most vital works of contemporary playwrights worldwide.
In addition to six MainStage productions each year, GableStage presents a variety of Education and Community Outreach programs throughout the community, including an in-school touring production, free community performances in venues throughout Miami-Dade County, and dedicated performances to support local nonprofits with their fundraising efforts.
GableStage is in the preliminary stages of an organization-wide expansion and is seeking its first-ever full-time Development Director who will have a critical role in the organization’s growth.
Working closely with the Producing Artistic Director, General Manager, and the Board of Directors, the Director of Development (DD) will be responsible for generating funds from individuals, (including bequests), foundations, corporations, and government resources through relationships, annual appeals, sponsorships, grants, events and strategic campaigns.
It is essential that this individual’s skills include grant research, preparation, and follow-up ability, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, which result in the development/cultivation of relationships with current and future donors (i.e. Board members, foundations, government officials, philanthropists, and community leaders).
