Position Description
This position supports agency-wide evaluation and impact, funding programs in the Metro Arts Commission and is a member of the Strategic Funding and Initiatives team. The position coordinates the operations of Metro Arts' grants and funding programs, which includes providing technical assistance to grantees, coordinating citizen review panels, managing Metro funding application systems, contracts and payments; and collection and coordination of evaluation data across all programs. This position supports Metro Arts' efforts in developing stronger arts and cultural organizations in the community and supports the mission to drive a vibrant and equitable community through the arts.

Typical Duties- Coordinates and performs the operations and administrative duties of all funding programs, including administration of online grants management systems.
- Provides technical assistance for program applicants and funding recipients; conducts grant and program applicant trainings and professional development opportunities
- Coordinates grant and funding program adjudication process, including recruitment of community panelists and external adjudicators; facilitates grant panel meeting process.
- Conducts grant and funding program monitoring, including site visits.
- Works with Metro Arts Finance and Operations Team to generate and track contracts, invoices, and payments.
- Leads the evaluation and data collection processes agency-wide; supports program outcome impact reporting.
- Develops and executes annual calendar of training, networking and professional development opportunities for arts organizations.
- Prepares appropriate materials and presents to the Grants and Funding Committee as needed.
- Supports the agency's work in developing and sustaining equitable practices across programs and policies.
- Assists with hiring and managing of consultants, interns or subcontractors related to program area.
- Supervises interns and volunteers.
- Connects to national networks and professional development networks related to programs.
- Assists with development of outside funding and proposal writing.
- Represents the Arts Commission at public events and meetings; makes public presentations at select community events, conferences/symposiums and workshops.
- Provides content for outreach materials and program specific public reports including website, email marketing, social media content, press releases, and annual report.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 4 years of experience with grant coordination and program evaluation.
- Experience coordinating government or foundation grants; experience with arts and cultural grant making.
- Degree in an arts field, Arts or Nonprofit Administration, Evaluation or a related field.
- Experience working with diverse communities in programs that increase arts equity, access, and inclusion.
- Knowledge of arts evaluation, arts education, cultural policy, and/or community arts practices
- Experience with program evaluation
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience with grant coordination and program evaluation.
