The Division of Arts Management and Arts Entrepreneurship at SMU seeks nominations and applications for an exciting opportunity to direct and shape the future of two outstanding and highly regarded arts management masters programs, the MA/MBA in Arts Management, offered jointly by the Meadows School of the Arts and the Edwin L. Cox School of Business, and the MM in International Arts Management, offered jointly by the Meadows School of the Arts, HEC Montreal, and SDA Bocconi in Milan. The Division is also home to an undergraduate minor in arts management and a second, highly regarded minor in arts entrepreneurship. In addition to the Chair, there are three regular rank faculty and numerous adjunct faculty members. The Chair will be based in the Meadows School, hold faculty rank, and work with the faculties of both schools as well as the academic leadership of a diverse artistic community. Extraordinary candidates at the Associate and Full Professor levels will be considered. The Meadows School is located in a vibrant urban area and is a dynamic, innovative, and inclusive institution.
The Arts Management and Arts Entrepreneurship program was founded in 1982, and its graduates have gone on to leadership positions nationally and internationally. This individual will interact with a larger scholarly community from across the university to promote the Meadows School’s strategic goals of arts leadership, diversity, and global awareness.
