We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative, collaborative, and organized to take on the responsibilities of the marketing coordinator. We need someone who has drive, passion, dedication, and high standards for the work they do. We need someone who thrives on thinking collaboratively and creatively about interesting ways to position our programs and artists across a variety of channels. We need a multi-tasking ninja. Someone who is comfortable with (and thrives on) a variety of tasks and responsibilities; someone who has the ability to prioritize and optimize efficiencies, and someone who can gracefully shift priorities when circumstances change.
This person must have the ability to think outside the box—crafting compelling content for our social channels or coming up with a creative solution to a problem—and also have a logical mind for managing collateral development, creating timelines, and tracking KPIs (key performance indicators).

The marketing coordinator assists in the development and implementation of Bravo! Vail’s marketing and communications tactics, focusing heavily on content. The position will work on creating content for a wide range of marketing channels and marketing initiatives which support the larger goals and strategies of the department. The position will work closely with and report to the senior marketing manager. The marketing coordinator will assist in creating and implementing Bravo! Vail’s marketing programs including managing our digital content and social media presence, creating smaller in-house design materials, communicating with vendors for design and copy writing, and creating advertising plans.
Design. Develop marketing materials as needed for external communications (we work with an outside graphic designer for our larger projects, and we are looking for someone who is comfortable creating smaller pieces).
• Produce in-house marketing collateral in line with our brand standards (postcards, print ads, order forms, invites, social media photos, website images, presentations, etc.)
• Assist in larger scale collateral development, including working with outside vendors (designer, printer)
Website Content. Update content on the Bravo! Vail website, including building out the season for our season launch, and updating content throughout the year. Knowledge of CMS systems a bonus.
Social Media. Plan out and grow the Bravo! Vail social media sites; copywrite, post, and track results; stay up-to-date on social media trends and best practices; continually track and optimize channels. Manage online reputation: monitor, optimize, and respond to user review sites: TripAdvisor, Yelp, and Google Plus.
Photography. Work with marketing team to develop a season photography schedule and shot list.
On sale campaigns: social and website. Coordinate with team to implement season roll-out, and ticket and subscription campaigns—building out the season website, and coordinating social media posts.
Copywriting. Write short pieces of content for social, website, blog, and emails. Ability to write short form pieces of content is a must.
Education marketing. Manage education and community engagement marketing plans and collateral production.
Archiving. Archive Bravo marketing materials annually and create and manage arts marketing collateral library.
Grab Bag. Ability to stay flexible in the changing landscape that is marketing. Jump into new tasks and initiatives when organizational and departmental priorities shift. Thrive in fluid and changing environments.
2+ years of experience in nonprofit or corporate marketing and communications; experience with non-profit arts marketing or event marketing preferred
B.A. or B.S. degree in relevant field
Strong combination of analytical and creative skills
Technology savvy with ability to learn new systems quickly (Customer database system: Tessitura, website CMS system: Umbraco, E-blast system: Mail2); doesn’t shy away from ‘new’ software platforms
At least 1 year hands-on experience with Adobe Suite or equivalent graphic design tools. High level of proficiency creating eye catching, smart graphics for marketing purposes, and high proficiency with design tools
Experience with Google Analytics or similar web analytics tools preferred
Social media marketing experience
High level of proficiency with social media marketing and management tools
Strong eye for design
Ability to multi-task and prioritize when managing multiple projects
A strong appreciation of the importance of completing tasks on deadline
Strong copywriting and copy editing skills preferred
A passion for the arts and for our mission to enrich people’s lives through the power of music
A positive attitude and enthusiasm for what we do
100% commitment during festival dates (typically late June through early August), including working evenings and weekends
Flexibility and openness to take on new projects in a fluid department
A sense of humor (particularly when things get stressful) is a bonus

About Bravo! Vail
Bravo! Vail is the only Festival in North America to host four world-renowned orchestras in a single season. For six weeks every summer, internationally acclaimed soloists join the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, the New York Philharmonic, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra featured in programs of the great classics, plus jazz and pops. Stellar chamber music artists, including members of all four resident orchestras, come together with musicians from our Young Professionals-in-Residence Program in an eclectic chamber music series. Orchestral concerts are presented at the stunning Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail, Colorado set with 360-degree panoramic views, while Chamber Music and Community Engagement concerts take place at venues throughout the Vail Valley.
