The Maryland National Capital Park & Planning Commission is an award winning organization with over 5,000 employees that administers over 52,000 acres of stream valley parks, large regional parks, neighborhood parks and park-school recreation areas throughout Montgomery and Prince George’s counties. Not only is our responsibility to administer and maintain the park systems, in Prince George’s County, we are also responsible for developing the County’s public recreation programs.
The Center for the Performing Arts located in Carmel, Indiana, first opened to the public in January, 2011 with the Grand
Opening of the Palladium, a 1600-seat, acoustically perfect concert hall. The 200-seat black box Studio Theater opened in March, 2011 and the 500-seat proscenium theater, The Tarkington, opened in August that same year. Together the three facilities make the Center's campus a welcoming place
for the community to engage with all forms of performing art.
